Short Description

The shrimp farming sector is one of Vietnam's most important markets in animal production. Intensive productions in ponds are continously subject to a wide range of pathogens and modern trends support greatly the use of the natural product to control outbreaks, minimizing nortalities and boosting the efficiency. The technical speech will cover the results of Vetagro's natural additives in fighting vibriosis in shrimp farming with a sustainable cost-effective nutritional approach.

Speaker's Biography

Fabrizio Caruso studied at the University of Bologna (Italy) where He received his Bachelor degree in Aquaculture and fish products hygiene in 2016, then he moved to Spain where He obtained the Post Graduate specialization degree from the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) of Saragoza in 2017 and a Master Degree in Marine Aquaculture from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In the period from 2018 to 2022 he worked as an independent researcher and consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and for aquaculture and fisheries private research centres and aquaculture producers’ associations.  He is reviewer of scientific papers for two international peer-reviewed magazines and co-author of 12 publications including peer-review articles, books and dissemination articles. 

Since 2023 he is Aquaculture Technical Specialist at Vetagro S.p.a. developing the aquaculture data and product portfolio of additives.
